Doctor Who Series 7 To Premiere At Edinburgh TV Festival In August
The first episode of Doctor Who series seven – featuring various generations of Daleks – is set to premiere at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival in August, according to The Guardian.
According to the newspaper’s website, “Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat will give a masterclass on BBC1′s Sherlock, along with his co-creator, Mark Gatiss, and the producer, Sue Vertue, and there will be an exclusive preview screening of the first episode of the next series of Doctor Who.”
This year’s festival will take place between 23 and 25 August, but does that mean a TV premiere would follow shortly afterwards? Surely the Beeb wouldn’t want weeks of spoilers seeping out onto the net?
And who wants to lay a bet that tickets for this year’s festival sell out at a record rate… (even though the cheapest ones are £250?)
