She has won countless awards during her Hollywood career, but Sharon Stone topped them all when she was bestowed with a Nobel Peace accolade, today.

The actress was present at the official ceremony for the 13th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Warsaw, Poland.

The 55 year-old was seen looking radiant as she sat on the stage at the annual prize - seeming only slightly older than her alter ego in 1992 thriller, Basic Instinct.

Look familiar? For a brief moment Sharon was a mirror image of her infamous Basic Instinct character

The blonde beauty chose a camel-coloured coat and scarf for her big day, matched with an autumnal red handbag and billowing white scarf.

Upon arrival, she removed her coat to reveal a short grey dress which featured a statement embellished neckline.

Wearing glamorous make-up and heels with her trademark blonde hair, the star looked strikingly youthful and relaxed.

The Hollywood performer was bestowed with the honour for her 'activities that brought solidarity and new hope to the millions of people who have fought and are fighting against the tragedy of HIV/AIDS.'

In particular, she has worked closely with U.S. charity amFAR - the Foundation for AIDS Research - and has vowed to act as a campaign chairman for them until a safe and effective vaccine is developed.

Sharon's commitment to them was spurred by the death of her friend and acting coach Roy London. 'I feel lucky that his life touched mine,' she told them. 'I especially miss Roy; his memory is an enduring reminder that heartache can be transformed into action, which in turn brings hope and, ultimately, life.'

The ceremony was held in the National Opera in Warsaw and included the Dalai Lama, Mikhail Gorbachev and Betty Williams.

It was clearly an emotional event for Sharon as she gave a peace sign while accepting her gong, and bowed to the Dalai Lama.

Previously, the award has been given to Sean Penn, Bono, George Clooney and Don Cheadle.

There are lots of HIV and AIDS activists in the world. Though she has done good work, I cant help but suspect they gave it to her as she is famous.

Well done and great to see her looking naturally lovely WITHOUT the use of that terrible botox.

This prize should be for those who help to bring an end to violence and/or war. It has turned into a joke since being awarded to Obama in 2009.

Ok hell must have frozen over when an idiot like this receives a Nobel Peace prize but then again they did see Obama as a worthy recipient. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel aren't you

DM...are you being ironic? She looks good for her age but not youthful, there is a difference. We can't all look like kids after 30.
