She means business! Chic Eva Mendes sparkles in silver and pink on her way to meeting in New York

For some women, work attire is trickier to master than an elaborate outfit for a black tie ball.

But Eva Mendes gave a masterclass in stylish work-wear on her way to a meeting in New York on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old sparkled in a pink top elaborately embroidered with silver at the neck and cuffs.

Continuing the theme, she teamed the design with a tailored grey coat and pale pink heels, adding sleek black trousers for a business-like touch.

Keeping a hint of her usual fun style, the Place Beyond The Pines actress added a large brooch and coloured sunglasses.

She was also careful to match her nails to her look, opting for a subtle nude shade of polish.

Her hair impeccably coiffed and her make-up understated, the Hitch star looked ready to take on on any boardroom.

Leaving her hotel in the Greenwich area of the city, she made her way to a studio where she may well have been arriving to discuss her latest foray into the fashion world.

The Cuban-American actress recently launched her own line for retailer New York & Company.

She stated that her aim was to make 'great quality clothes for an affordable price.’

‘It’s not about fashion on a runway, it’s about fashion on the run!’ she recently told NBC Latino. ‘The proof is in the product, which I am so proud of.’

She added: ‘I basically tried to do a modern version of all my favourite pieces.’

This year Eva appeared in TV movie Clear History, about a revengeful marketing executive, alongside Kate Hudson, Jon Hamm and Larry David.

She will hit screens again next year in How To Catch A Monster, which is written and directed by her long-term boyfriend Ryan Gosling.

Stylish and age appropriate, if you want to elegant ladies, take note. Short dresses with fat orange legs and bleached hair with a ton of makeup doesn't look good. BTW, tattoos never look good ever either.
