Feline good! Nicole Richie looks purrrfect as she teams lace cat ears with a plunging Flapper dress

She has always been a trendsetter and no doubt Nicole Richie is hoping her chosen look on Thursday will catch on with her fans.

The fashion designer arrived at the Who What Wear 50 Style Stars event in West Hollywood with a pair of lace cat ears on her head.

The black ears had lace veiling which fell across her forehead, and the unusual accessory suggested that Nicole is getting into the Halloween spirit a week ahead of the holiday.

Nicole even went so far as to try out a look that suggested she was a feline from the 1920s.

The 32-year-old was sporting a black Flapper style dress, which was covered in sequins and fringing.

The frock had a very low-cut to show off Nicole’s ample cleavage, following rumours that she went under the knife and had a breast augmentation.

Nicole oddly chose to wear skinny black leather trousers under the dress, and completed her look with spindly, towering matching stilettos and a cream clutch bag.

The mother-of-two styled her caramel locks in an updo so as to best show off her cat ears and wore thick, winged black eyeliner.

She wisely opted to keep the rest of her make-up simple, with just a sweep of pink blusher and a slick of matching lip gloss.

Nicole’s famous friend and former stylist Rachel Zoe, who she helped to catapult to stardom, was also at the event, which was held at The London Hotel.

The pregnant 43-year-old wore a baggy black dress that hid her changing figure.

But that didn’t stop her husband Rodger Berman from lovingly cradling her blossoming baby bump as they posed for photographers.
