Ben Affleck admits he was 'reluctant' to take Batman role as he steps out in funky beanie with wife Jennifer Garner and a bespectacled Seraphina

Ben Affleck slipped on a funky grey beanie cap and brown sunglasses on Friday to take his wife Jennifer Garner and their adorable daughter Seraphina - who was sporting pink prescription glasses - to breakfast in LA.
The same day he admitted to 411Mania it took him a while to decide whether or not he dare step into a Bat suit to star in Batman Vs. Superman.
'Initially I was reluctant as I felt I didn't fit the traditional mold,' the Oscar winner said.
Breakfast club: Ben Affleck took wife Jennifer Garner and their four-year-old daughter Seraphina out to eat in Brentwood, California, on Friday morning
Cooling down: The family chose more cosy clothes for their morning trip
'Once [director] Zack [Snyder] showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris [Nolan] and Christian [Bale] made but still in keeping with tradition I was excited,' Ben, 41, added.
'Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations.'
Batman Vs. Superman will reportedly start shooting early next year in Detroit, Michigan. Henry Cavill will play Superman, Amy Adams is set to star as Lois Lane and Diane Lane will step into the part of Martha Kent. The film will be released in 2015.
In living colour: Seraphina looked adorable in a pink hoodie over a violet T-shirt with a star logo, plus purple trousers, while her mum, 41, was casually dressed in blue jeans and a black, long-sleeved T-shirt
She can see clearly now: She's seen here with new pink prescription glasses
The Afflecks were spotted
walking to a cafe in Brentwood, California, without their two other
children, seven-year-old Violet, who was at school, and baby Samuel, who
is just 20 months old.
All three were dressed for the cooler autumn weather.
The Good Will Hunting actor appeared to be wearing two jackets, a dark padded one with a furry collar over a thinner coat, plus a black T-shirt and grey jeans. The star - who on Thursday revealed a toned chest while taking his oldest child shopping - had his new, super-ripped body completely hidden.
Jennifer, 41, pulled on a black, long-sleeved top, blue jeans and plaid ballerina shoes that looked more like bedroom slippers. Her long, auburn hair hung round her face and she, too, hid behind large sunglasses.
She seemed to be wearing not a spot of makeup.
Built for action: The new Batman hid his bulked up body under two black jackets
Four-year-old Seraphina was definitely more colourfully clad than her mum and dad, rocking a purple T-shirt decorated with a large star, over purple trousers. She looked cosy in a pink-and-white striped zip-up hoodie.
After breakfast, the celebrity family walked back to their car clutching drinks.
The actor and director has been a devoted family man since marrying Dallas Buyers Club star Jennifer in 2005.
The pair starting dating after meeting on the set of Daredevil in 2003.
Ben often takes Violet to and from school and was spotted with his little girl at the Brentwood Country Market on Thursday.
The previous day the Argo star had to have his vintage car towed away. But he cheered himself up by taking his daughters for ice cream in the well-heeled Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
Superhero dad: The star wore a white T-shirt that revealed his ripped abs as he took Violet shopping at the Brentwood Country Market after picking her up from school on Thursday
Weekend fun! On Saturday Jennifer Garner took her eldest daughter Violet to a dance class in Brentwood
Casual: The 41-year-old actress was dressed down in jeans and a dark grey knit sweater whereas her 7-year-old daughter donned a pair of pink sweatpants and a patriotic blue USA T-shirt
On-set: Whilst Jennifer Garner takes care of their children in Los Angeles Ben Affleck is busy filming in New York
Handsome: The 41-year-old actor looked dapper in jeans, shirt and a blazer as he filmed scenes for Gone Girl in Manhattan
Star attraction: Ben's appearance caused quite a stir with fans and he posed happily with a a NYC police officer who was clearly thrilled to have her picture taken with the handsome actor
