This Odd Thing called Canada

by Kevin D. Annett

Now, who says Canadians aren’t funny?

This week, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) pondered aloud, and for the first time, “whether Canada should be tried for Genocide at the United Nations” for its crimes at Indian residential schools.

That’s a funny thing to say, considering that Canada already has been tried and found guilty for all that Genocide: at a high-profile Common Law court case convened in Brussels, whose verdict was rendered last February 25. (see the links below)

Funny the CBC missed that, eh? Just like they also left out the fact that the Brussels court also convicted the mainline Canadian churches of the same crime, since the freaks in robes did most of the killing of all those children.

Of course, Canadians knew as early as November 15, 1907 that half the brown children in Indian “residential schools” were dying off because of their deliberate exposure to tuberculosis: a fact reported that day on the front page of the Ottawa Citizen, by their own government medical officers. And I’ve sure as hell been rubbing that same bloody fact in everyone’s face for over fifteen years now, complete with solid evidence. (http://hiddennolonger.com)

I guess none of that should surprise us, when one considers the sorry state of what passes for journalism in Canada. For not even when Mohawk elders in Brantford, Ontario began unearthing the remains of children’s bones and buttons at Canada’s oldest residential school in the fall of 2011 did any Canadian media even once bother to report that historic find.

No regime ever looks at its own shit, except in the kind of controlled, sanitized way displayed in Canada’s disgraceful “Truth and Reconciliation” whitewash. But Canadians’ refusal to accept and be held liable for their own bloody history has become quite ridiculous, now that other countries and their courts are ruling on our guilt for deliberately slaughtering indigenous children.

And so the CBC’s after-the-fact pondering of “whether” we’re guilty of Genocide smells exactly like Pope Paul VI’s official pronouncement in 1967 that Galileo wasn’t wrong after all, and that the earth does actually go around the sun.

Yeah, we knew that already: just like we know that Canada and its churches are not only guilty of Genocide, but that under international law, they are convicted criminal bodies that have no lawful or legitimate authority. And that means that their laws, rules and taxes are null and void; and anyone who funds them is guilty of a crime.

Most Canadians are trying to ignore that Elephant in the Living Room Fact, of course, by pretending they still live under a bona fide government: but not my new friend Steve Finney, in Kitchener, Ontario. For Steve has acted as a free man under Common Law, and has taken the Brussels legal ruling to heart. He keeps telling cops and judges in Kitchener that they have no authority over him because they have taken oaths of allegiance to a criminal institution, including the Crown of England itself. And he quite correctly says to them,

“Why should I obey a government that deliberately killed over 50,000 children, and still trafficks kids through the Children’s Aid Societies?”

Steve Finney has not castrated his knowledge from his behaviour, like most of the political eunuchs in our country. He has sworn an oath to stand under a new allegiance as a citizen of the Republic of Kanata, the formation of which is also being actively ignored by the CBC and the rest of the fake thing called Canada.

We live in a time of bursting illusions and universal deceit, of official lies and crumbling coverups: something Charles Dickens called the Best of Times, and the Worst of Times. Dickens was referring to France on the eve of its 1789 Revolution.

I hope the allusion isn’t lost on us.

Steve Finney is in prison in Canada tonight for his political beliefs

A Wake Up Call for all Canadians and Lovers of Liberty: Don’t Let them Crush Us, One by One
by Kevin D. Annett

Steve Finney is in prison in Canada tonight for his political beliefs.

For months now, Steve, a resident of Kitchener, Ontario, has publicly denied the authority of the so-called Crown of England and denied its jurisdiction over him.

Appalled by the genocidal legacy of that institution, Steve has tried to enforce a common law court verdict that last February found the authority of the Crown and the Canadian government to be null and void. And he’s done so loudly and clearly to the judges, public and the police of his community: the very same police who arrested him yesterday without any stated charge, and who are now holding him incommunicado.

Steve is a friend of mine and a leading organizer for our Common Law Court movement. He’s also a sworn citizen of the fledgling Republic of Kanata: a sovereignty movement determined to win our independence from crown and church corporate tyranny.

Steve Finney and his wife Amy Smart, another vocal common law and Kanata activist, have already paid a price for their beliefs. Last month, their five year old daughter Amber was unlawfully seized by Childrens’ Aid Society (CAS) workers and kept away from both of her parents.

The CAS makes $100,000 for every child like Amber that they kidnap and place under “crown wardship”, resulting in a multi-billion dollar child trafficking industry that Steve and Amy have actively denounced with leaflets, placards and in-their-face confrontations with the “authorities”. And that activism has made them beloved by local residents, and hated by police and judges.

Steve and Amy both appeared on our global blog radio program last Saturday and once again publicly denounced the CAS, the courts and the cops in Kitchener for preying on local children. Then, barely a day later, Steve was arrested, held in prison and denied the right to phone anyone, and is now facing a speedy trial and sentencing.

For what? No-one knows, and the police aren’t saying.

Nobody ever believes that tyranny is alive in their own country until it strikes them personally. Brave souls like Steve Finney and Amy Smart are not only carrying the torch for all of us: they are reminding us that there is no rule of law or accountable government in Canada. The time for both has arrived, but only if it is claimed and constructed by all of us.

Steve is in prison tonight for us. So let each of us be free tomorrow for him and fight for the cause that will redeem our land: that of a true Republic of Equals under the rule of Common Law – the Republic of Kanata.

Here’s specifically what you can do:

1. Phone the Central Division Kitchener-Waterloo police station and demand to know of Steve’s safety and whereabouts: ph: 519-650-8500, ext. 4499

2. Join our campaign for the Republic of Kanata under Common Law, and for an end to government trafficking of our children. Write to republicofkanata@gmail.com and form a local RoK chapter in your community. There can be no justice under the present corrupt “crown” courts in Canada!

Stay tuned for more updates of Steve’s fate and our growing movement.

with our thanks,

Kevin D. Annett of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) and The Provisional Council of the Republic of Kanata (Winnipeg)

ITCCS leader Steve Finney assaulted and bloodied by Kitchener police, jailed illegally without charges

Breaking News Update: Monday, September 30, 2013, 1:00 pm EST

Kitchener, Ontario:

After being illegally arrested yesterday without being charged with anything, political prisoner Steve Finney, a leader of the ITCCS and Common Law movement in Canada and a declared citizen of the fledgling Republic of Kanata, was assaulted by Kitchener police this morning and appeared bruised and bloodied in a Kitchener courtroom. Steve was ordered to be detained another day until a bail hearing is held tomorrow.

“His right cheek is all bruised and bleeding, there’s blood all over his face, and there’s a big bruise under his nose that has blood on it” described his wife Amy Smart.

“I asked him who did it and he pointed to one of the uniformed cops in the courtroom”.

Steve and Amy have been outspoken critics of the Childrens’ Aid Society (CAS) and the police of the Kitchener-Waterloo area for their involvement in trafficking local children. The couple have picketed local CAS offices and called on residents to ignore the “false jurisdiction of crown courts”. In response, CAS officials have seized their five year old daughter Amber.

Both Steve and Amy are declared citizens of the Republic of Kanata.

“We need everybody to come down here tomorrow to the courthouse to see what’s happening” said Amy in a telephone interview this morning.

“This is a police state. Steve’s name wasn’t even listed on the court register this morning when he appeared, and they still aren’t charging him with anything. They wouldn’t allow a bail hearing today even when Steve asked for one because he has a job to go to. They’re trying to destroy us for our beliefs and ’cause we know what they’re doing to our children. But we won’t ever give up.”

The Kitchener ITCCS and local Republic of Kanata chapter have called a media conference for 9 am tomorrow, Tuesday October 1, along with a public protest, outside the Kitchener-Waterloo Criminal Courthouse. The address is 85 Frederick street in Kitchener, Ontario.

Come and rally to defend this targeted family, and an innocent man: brave defenders of liberty and our children. Don’t let them crush us one by one!

The Bone that Could Change Everything: A Time to End our Complicity in Murder, and Reinvent Canada

bone fragment
Bone Fragment unearthed at former Anglican Indian school in Brantford, Ontario

by Kevin D. Annett

The tiny bone weighs hardly anything, and yet it is the weightiest evidence in Canadian history.

The forensic specialists are nearly definite that it’s the upper thigh bone of a small child, maybe four or five years old. This month, their tests will confirm what I felt was true when I recently lifted it from the soil near the former Anglican Indian school in Brantford: that the first of Canada’s Disappeared – the missing and murdered residential school children – have begun to come home.

Canada and its churches tried for decades to bury and forget the bone, and the other remains of the 50,000 and more children who died in their residential “schools”. And when these innocents’ deaths could no longer be denied, the same guilty parties distracted us from their foul deed with “reconciliation” babble and a whitewashing “truth and reconciliation commission” that has not once turned over the soil at a residential school grave.

That’s all about to change, in a way that most of us have yet to realize.

For one thing, once this bone, or others, are positively identified as human, the entire Indian residential schools issue becomes no longer a matter of public platitudes about “healing”, but of a massive crime scene. Every possible church record and grave site connected to a residential school will have to be opened and examined by competent specialists – and that does not and cannot mean the RCMP, police or any agent of the Crown or church, who are, after all, complicit in the crime.

The opening of these graves, in other words, will require and compel us to reinvent Canada, transforming it from an agent of the Crown and its church partners to a sovereign Republic with the power to prosecute historic agents of genocide, such as, in the Brantford case, the Church of England and its head, Elizabeth Windsor.

Most mainstream Canadians want such a change to a Republic, anyway: 58% of them, in the latest national poll. And what better issue to ignite such sovereignty than the need to bring comfort and justice to innocent children who died at our hands?

Some of the good people in southern Ontario have already taken such a step by forming something called Not in Our Name!(Non!): a community network that wants to rally support for the excavations at the local residential school authorized by Mohawk elders recently, that I have helped to organize. But Non! is more than that. To quote one of its statements,

We are sickened and outraged by the acts of the Anglican, Catholic and United churches … For generations, our ancestors have been lied to and fooled by these churches and the crown to fund the slaughter of native people, our friends and neighbors. They have killed children in our name and continue to profit from their crime by not paying taxes and having we, the taxpayers, foot their legal bills! … The churches must instead account for their crimes not with words, or money, but by giving up their right to operate as protected corporations above the law … We must take back our churches and our culture by returning the land and wealth they stole from the original people, and disestablishing their right to operate as anything larger than individual congregations. Perhaps that will allow moral as well as material reparations to murdered children …

Non! could spell the death knell of the church corporations that have evaded justice for so long, simply because it’s a movement emerging from within the churches themselves. One of the Non! organizers is a retired clergyman who actually left the church over its cover up of the residential schools massacre: a man who, like me, was pilloried and persecuted for his stand, but, unlike me, has chosen to stay silent about what happened to him. Until now.

Our excavations at the Anglican Indian school in Brantford are waiting for the new year, and more research, to resume, but already, three other indigenous nations have asked me to come and help them begin similar digs at their local Indian residential school mass graves.

Meanwhile, Non! is spreading as well, and setting up similar groups across the country. “White” Canadians, it seems, are switching their allegiance, and laying the basis for a sovereign nation capable of facing its past crimes and present possibilities. It all seems to echo the words of a Mohawk elder whom I’ve come to befriend and respect, Bill Squire, who said to me last week,

Once we bring home our murdered children we’ve acted as a real nation, saying, this is our crime site. And then we’re going to put Canada on trial.

Bill Squire will get his chance this spring, when a European Union parliamentary committee will hear and see the forensic proof of the dead children at the Brantford school – and much more. Canada could then face sanctions, and an international war crimes tribunal. And it will all be thanks to a small bone fragment, and many more like it, that you and I and many others will bring to light, by saying our Non!, loudly and clearly, and through action.

Welcome to the Republic of Kanata.

Autonomous European Nation endorses Kevin Annett and the ITCCS, Calls for Recognition of Republic of Kanata

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The autonomous Republic of Eurostaete and its officials have formally endorsed the aims and work of Rev. Kevin Annett and the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), following a conference held near Amsterdam on May 28.

Eurostaete also welcomed the establishment of The Republic of Kanata as “a hope and an inspiration” to victims of the Crown of England and “religious intolerance”.

Dr. Gerard Beukeveld, founder and head Regent of The Republic of Eurostaete, announced the endorsement of the ITCCS at the end of the conference where Rev. Kevin Annett was the featured speaker.

“In defending Indian people targeted for genocide, Mr. Annett has defended the same principles we believe in, especially the rights of nations to sovereignty. We therefore join him in holding accountable the powers that have caused these crimes against humanity” stated Dr. Beukeveld.

We welcome the establishment of The Republic of Kanata and call for its diplomatic recognition by other nations, for only in the democratic courts of such a new Republic can indictments be brought against those powers.

The Republic of Kanata was proclaimed on July 1, 2009 in Winnipeg, Canada by native and non-native people frustrated by the refusal of Crown-based Canadian courts to prosecute the government of Canada and its churches for Genocide. Rev. Annett is a member of the Republic’s Provisional Council.

In accepting Eurostaete’s endorsement, Rev. Annett presented Dr. Beukeveld and other Eurostaete officials with the flag of The Republic of Kanata, and said,

Our common stand today is part of a growing movement to bring to trial the churches and governments that exterminated millions of indigenous people, including our ancestors here in Europe. The global corporate agenda is continuing this extermination as we speak, and so we must hold on to our lands and our lives as free and sovereign people if we are to survive.

Observers from Eurostaete will be present at the convening of the ITCCS Tribunal in London, England in mid September, and at other Tribunal locations to be disclosed.
