Cisse hits back at 'bunch of idiots' after abuse for scoring at Swansea

By John Drayton

Djibril Cisse has bitten back after Twitter abuse aimed at him for scoring Kuban Krasnodar's late equaliser away to Swansea on Thursday night.

The striker's stoppage-time penalty secured a 1-1 draw for the Russian side with Swansea, who had led from the 68th minute after a goal from Michu, close to victory.

Those unhappy about his goal wasted little time in tweeting him to say so, but the striker has since labelled them 'idiots' for doing so.

'You bunch of idiots insulting me coz you bet on the wrong result its not my fault if you are stupid,' the striker tweeted.

'Ps felt good to score and grab a point sorry if u bet on the wrong result maybe next time u l'lll win(or not).'

Earlier on Thursday, in the wake of the alleged abuse of Yaya Toure by CSKA Moscow fans, Cisse had said he would leave the pitch if he was given racial abuse. 'People have to understand that football is a mix of races and you have to accept that.'

Incidentally, in November 2012, Cisse was criticsed for his finishing ability on Twitter by a QPR fan during his time at the club, and replied: 'come and have a chat big man', before adding the training ground address, postcode and when he would be there.
