Gran Turismo 4
Platform: PlayStation 2
Developer: Polyphony Digital
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Year Released: 2005
Why it Made the Top 100 List:

There is simply no doubt that Gran Turismo 4 the best console driving simulation ever, and likely won't be topped until Gran Turismo 5. However, the removal of online play and a weak AI keeps GT4 from absolute perfection. Even with these minor negatives, if a gamer is a driving enthusiast, then the gamer will be playing GT4 for months and months, if not for years. -- silverfox863

Secret of Mana
Platform: Super NES
Developer: Square
Publisher: Square
Year Released: 1993
Why it Made the Top 100 List:

In today's gaming market where visuals and gimmicks are emphasized over story and even gameplay, it can be refreshing to return to the basics. I started playing a game I had never heard of before called the Secret of Mana. I'm glad I did. -- mattomondo

This game has definitely formed its own little cult over time. Often imitated, but never duplicated. This was the game that started my transition into RPG's, as I classify this as a half RPG and half action/adventure game. -- stephenobrien

Burnout 3: Takedown
Platform: Xbox, PlayStation 2
Developer: Criterion Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Year Released: 2004
Why it Made the Top 100 List:

Like Burnout 2, its fast and furious action is enough for most race fans, but it's the bump, grind and crash features that bring out the sadists and masochists back for more. -- MrHentai

The crashes are probably the most astounding of any arcade racer right now. There are sparks and rubber flying everywhere. It's what makes this game such a winner. This game is so good, I would even recommend it for people that don't like arcade racers. -- banjo_kazooie1

# 047 // Advance Wars
Advance Wars
Platform: Game Boy Advance
Developer: Intelligent Systems
Publisher: Nintendo
Year Released: 2001
Why it Made the Top 100 List:

Man....I played and played until I got sick of the game. Then I played again. The problem is that the game is slow, but you have to finish it. You just can't stop--this is nuts! So many things to unlock, so many maps, generals, secrets; and of course, you can have up to six players, so you spend the hole day taking turns, yet still wanting more. The only solution is to play this game and do something else at the same time--watch tv, surf the internet, go shopping--but you won't stop playing. -- infidelslayer

Grand Theft Auto III was one of the first games to truly showcase the capabilities of the PS2. It also showed how a game with sub-par graphics can be so fun to play. -- squallface

This game is every man's fantasy. Shooting, sniping, blowing stuff up, stealing cars, earning money, hot pursuits, breaking the law, banging hookers, stealing money--they're what made this sandbox adventure one of the controversial games ever made. It's guaranteed to suck you in the minute you play it. -- shaneomac911

# 043 // Jade Empire
Jade Empire

Developer: BioWare
Publisher: Microsoft
Year Released: 2005
Why it Made the Top 100 List:

BioWare has done it again. Breaking from its traditional tried-and-true RPG formulas, the company has created an original masterpiece. Sticking to whole numbers, I'll give it a 9/10, 10/10 being virtually unpossible. -- masmith3200
