Her dad's hell-raising antics earned him the title of the Prince of Darkness.

And it would seem Kelly Osbourne had inherited Ozzy's love of all things scary as she headed out to a Halloween party at Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood on Thursday night.

Embracing fright night in all its glory, the 28-year-old TV star looked positively terrifying as she channelled 1976 horror movie legend, Carrie, in a gory blood-stained dress.

Throwing herself full-throttle into the festivities at Adam Lambert's Halloween Party Powered by CIROC, the Fashion Police star enlisted the help of her doting fiance Matthew Mosshart to help her achieve her scary look.

Going utterly all-out, Kelly had an entire bucket of fake blood tipped over her head to achieve the look of the terrifying character.

Writing on her Twitter page before heading out, she said: 'Soooo excited for tonight's #Halloween costume!!!! Getting my fiancé to poor a bucket of blood over my head!!!

'Yes I'm going as Carrie however I have a feeling I might end up looking like a tampon!'

Kelly traded in her usual violet locks for a flowing auburn wig, which she teamed with a delicate tiara, while accentuating her gory blood stains by wearing a cream silk gown.

She added: '#LetTheBloodPouringBegin! This feels disgusting!'

And with her Black Sabbath rocker dad, Ozzy Osbourne, being the original Prince of Darkness, the former reality star made sure to drop by to show him her Halloween ensemble.

Posting a snap of the pair cuddled up on her Instagram page, she wrote: 'Just stopped by to make sure my dad like my costume!!!!! He loved it! Yaaaay.'

Earlier in the day, the father-daughter duo had a conversation in which the 64-year-old musician seemed to be under the impression that she was planning on dousing herself in real blood.

Posting a screengrab of their text message conversation on her Twitter page, Kelly wrote: 'I'm going as Carrie and am getting a bucked of blood poured over my head.'

To which Ozzy responded: 'Surely not real blood? Ya come over when ever you like I'm not going anywhere.'

Kelly joked: 'No Dadda not real blood fake pigs blood smelt really disgusting I could not do it.'

While the TV presenter went all out in terms of her Halloween costume, her fiance Matthew was a little more understated with his choice of attire, dressing in an all-in-one leather racing driver ensemble.

Also toasting the annual witching hour at Bootsy Bellows on Thursday night were the likes of Carmen Electra, David Arquette and Joanna Krupa.
