The designer must be having a field day.

Two of Hollywood's sweethearts, Kirsten Dunst and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, were spotted out and about in Los Angeles this week wearing the very same chic dress.

In a frilly coincidence, the 31-year-old actress slipped into the same sheer lacy frock that the 26-year-old model wore just one day earlier.

Kirsten was running errands in West Hollywood on Thursday when she decided to pick the dress in question out of her wardrobe.

It was a racy semi-sheer grey number, which featured chic ruffled sleeves and a flirty and feminine frilled hem which fell just above the knee.

The Virgin Suicides actress teamed hers with a cute pair of ballet flats, creating a different look to the one Rosie created just one day earlier by teaming hers with boots.

The statuesque blonde model's suede boots were by Isabel Marant, and she toted an oversized crocodile skin handbag by Kate Moss for Longchamp.

Both Kirsten and Rosie's long blonde tresses flowed naturally and if you saw them both you wouldn't be blamed for thinking they were one and the same person.

The Cat's Meow star was still wearing a bandage on her right hand, which she has been seen wearing for the last couple of days, suggesting an injury of some sort.

The actress has enjoyed a busy year, with four films currently in pre- or post-production including Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the follow-up to Will Ferrell’s 2004 comedy in which she plays herself.

Rosie's outing comes as she revealed last month that models can no longer get by on their looks, adding that they now have to be 'more real than ever'.

The British-born star, who began her career aged 16, explained to The Observer newspaper: 'There's more engagement. You're no longer this one-dimensional image.

'It's more expected now for supermodels to be smart, to have opinions, to have a personality.'
