NeoNazi rocker plays in Italian Resistance park
Mayor outraged, 'won't be overlooked'
(ANSA) - Bologna, August 14 - An Italian mayor was incensed
Wednesday after it surfaced that an American neo-Nazi with a
swastika tattoo had performed at his town's summer festival.
"It's extremely serious, something I don't intend to overlook in silence, not as a mishap nor as a distraction," said Marco Macciantelli, mayor of San Lazzaro di Savena.
On August 1, musician Dionna Dal Monte performed at the Summer Rockin 2013 fest, which took place alongside the town fair.
In an ironic twist, the concert was staged in a park devoted to Resistance fighters in World War II.
Her Nazi sympathies surfaced earlier this week when she revealed her swastika tattoo on stage at the Summer Jamboree festival in Senigallia, central Italy.
