Quotations from previous Pegasus Scholars

"The Pegasus Scholarship was nothing like I anticipated. It was a thousand times better. It changed my legal perspective on every front, and challenged my notion of what it is to be a good practitioner. I developed incredible relationships with Barristers I encountered, and was constantly learning in every single interaction I had. This will remain a highlight of my career forever, and my only regret was that I wasn't able to stay longer. "--Rachel K. Gallegos, 2013 American Inns of Court Pegasus Scholar

"As soon as you arrive at your first day of work at your first barristers' chambers, and walk along the Thames and see Big Ben tower in the distance, and then traverse the quiet cobblestone roads of the Temple area, where many chambers are located, you realize you have embarked on a once in a lifetime experience. You will be able to meet numerous judges and barristers and immerse yourself in legal London in ways that few have the opportunity to do. You not only get to meet judges, but also sit down with them in their offices and discuss practicing law and dispensing justice. I benefited greatly from my time in London and I enjoyed having the chance to explain and learn the differences between our two systems and determine the pros and cons of each. You will not regret taking the time to go back to America's legal roots and walk in the shoes of English barristers for a time. You will leave with long-lasting memories and friendships." --Natalie M. Butler, 2013 American Inns of Court Pegasus Scholar
