Eddie Cibrian has slammed divorce rumours as 'absurd' and 'crazy'.

And LeAnn Rimes made sure nobody was still doubting the strength of their marriage on Saturday as she played step-mother to her husband's two children, Mason and Jake.

The 31-year-old singer was full of smiles and hugs for the boys - whose mother is Brandi Glanville - as she took them out to their soccer match in Los Angeles.

LeAnn was casually cute in a form-fitting black T-shirt and a pair of distressed and torn blue jeans, which she tucked into a black hi-top sneakers.

She pulled her blonde tresses back into a neat bun, shielded her eyes with aviator sunglasses and was sure to dress things up a little with colossal hoop earrings.

The country music singer was seen grinning from ear to ear as she spent the morning with her two step-sons, even enlisting Jake for a playful hug at one point.

The loved up family display comes as rumours have been circulating that LeAnn and Eddie are headed for splitsville.

But although Eddie did not appear to be present with his family on the sunny day, he was sure to put in his two cents regarding the rumours during a chat with Entertainment Tonight.

'[The rumors have] been going on for so long. They're just absurd, and to give any validity to any of these things, it's crazy,' said Eddie, overturning the whispers.

'We have such a great marriage, very functional and we just decided to do a show to screw that all up,' he added, intent on explaining just how 'absurd' any split would be on account of their upcoming reality show.

The couple put on a united front to convince the world that there was no trouble in their marital paradise - which was created after cheated on their respective ex spouses with each other - during a hand-in-hand Malibu stroll on Friday, too.

LeAnn giggled and grinned as she gripped Eddie's hand a the sunny, luxurious outdoor mall in the seaside town.

The more flack they get from people.....the more I want them to make it. Do they have to make it 10 years before people believe they are a real couple? None of these people are saints and neither LeAnn or Brandi is better than the other in this case especially.

Looking at the big picture...Brandi should thank her lucky stars that LeeAnn treats her boys with an overabundance of love and affection. In the end, that's all that really matters.

Leann, please, you really do not look good with your hair pulled back like that. It really looks awful. What is so difficult for celebrities to make themselves look good without a makeup artist? You don't keep a man looking like that. Leann you'd be more secure with your marriage if you actually took care of your appearance on a daily basis.

I don't care what happened with these two and the ex wife. Those judgments are between the three of them. What does matter, and what I can't understand, is why people trash Leann for being a good stepmother to these children. How is she supposed to treat them? I had a stepmother who was awful. Her pet name for me and my sisters was "the ex wife's kids". We were often told we weren't wanted or welcome. We were beaten locked in our room. My point is, hate what she did, but at least give credit where credit is due. Those kids look happy, and that's all I care about.
