Not long after they announced their split, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom appeared to be spending more time together as they ever had before.

But now it seems that both the supermodel and actor are finally becoming accustomed to life as single parents.

With Miranda flying to Los Angeles on Monday for work commitments, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star was seen spending some quality father and son time with his little boy Flynn, two, on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old actor hoisted his mini-me up on his shoulders as they took a stroll around the Soho area.

Father and son wore matching padded attire for the outing, with Orlando in a green puffer jacket and Flynn clad in a similar bright yellow vest.

The actor appeared to had just come from a workout as he also donned navy shorts and brightly coloured trainers.

Meanwhile, Flynn was covered up from the cold in a navy sweater, a pair of black jeans and tiny brown boots.

The youngster jovially played with his father's hair as they made their way around the streets.

He also draped his arms around Orlando, giving his dad a tight cuddle.

Up until Tuesday, the actor and his wife Miranda put on a show of unity by heading out with Flynn in the days following their split announcement.

But things have now changed, and the couple appear to be trying to move on from their break-up.

The handsome star has already moved out of the New York City apartment he shared with his leggy wife.

On October 29 Joan Rivers let it be known that the Lord Of The Rings actor had moved into her neighborhood when she presented him with a chocolate cake and a sign that read, 'Welcome Orlando to the Hood!'

She also tweeted, 'Excited to welcome Orlando Bloom to my NYC neighborhood! No cup of sugar - I brought him a full cake.'

The actor responded on October 31 with his own sign, 'Thanks for the warm welcome, Joan darling. Come see me on Broadway!'

Meanwhile, Miranda worked hard to crack a smile on Monday as she walked alone in New York with no son, no husband and no ring.

She did look chic as she sauntered up an Upper East Side street in a black coat and jacket with black tights, black buckled boots and a white T-shirt with a torn denim mini skirt. Her pout was scarlet red.

Later in the day, she was seen at LAX airport after flying in from the Big Apple.

The beauty is reportedly seeking out an acting agent so she can perform in movies, which her ex does so well.

Orlando, meanwhile, has gone out of his way to explain that he and his wife, who have been separated for 'months,' have done so amicably, and will remain close.

'We love each other, we're a family,' he told Katie Couric earlier this month. 'We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives.

'There's no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.'

'Life sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately we’re adults. I’m 36 now, she’s 30 and we’re professionals and we love and care about each other and we most of all love our son,' he added.

I think he has been accustomed to being on his own with Flynn for a while. It is always sad when a marriage breaks down , especially when children are involved. I wish them well

Is it SO hard to stick together and, y'know, remember the vows? People are so selfish and full of themselves.I bet the split had to do with " my career".
