Amy Poehler was spotted taking care of city business filming a scene as her Parks And Recreation alter ego Leslie Knope in Pasadena, California, on Thursday.

The city stands in for the fictional metropolis of Pawnee, Indiana, where Amy's character is Deputy Director of the Parks Department in NBC's mockumentary sitcom, now in its sixth season.

Looking every inch the bureaucrat, Amy, 42, was dressed in a grey business trouser suit teamed with a black shirt decorated with keys plus black shoes.

The comedienne appeared to be having an intense discussion with fellow co-star Adam Scott, who plays her husband, state auditor Ben Wyatt, on the steps of the government building.

In another scene she walks to a car, clutching official looking red document files.

The characters Leslie and Ben tied the knot at the end of season five after a romance that had been building since season three.

So here's the question for Parks and Rec fans - was Leslie and Ben's altercation about Pawnee or their new status as husband and wife?

Viewers will find out when the half-hour comedy returns to NBC on January 9 after a mid-season break.

Aside from Parks and Rec, the blonde has been busy on other projects.

Last month Amy - who will co-host the Golden Globe Awards again next year with Tina Fey - was in New York shooting the Comedy Central series Broad City.

She was seen cracking the crew up as she directed scenes that included comedian Louis C.K., who served as co-director.

Amy is currently dating Comedy Central star Nick Kroll, 35, after she and actor husband Will Arnett announced the end of their nine-year marriage in September 2012.
