The Department of Foreign Affairs said assistance came in the form of cash, relief goods, as well as medical and rescue teams. The assistance came from 28 nations, the European Union, along with four international organizations.

The European Union announced today that 13.4 million dollars in aid will be given for building projects, besides the initial donation. Japan has already sent out a medical service team to the Philippines and in addition will give 10 million dollars to be used for emergency shelters and necessities.
