Cox, the team’s dime cornerback who was signed as a free agent in 2012, played just one defensive snap in a 10-9 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He was made expendable with the addition of cornerback Eric Wright, who was placed on the 53-man roster last week but was inactive against the Panthers. Wright, 28, is a seven-year veteran with 81 career starts. More »
