Taking a cue from that old adage 'When in Rome, do as the Romans,' Jennifer Lopez, 44,and her boyfriend Casper Smart, 26, got romantic in the City Of Love on Thursday.

Hardly recognizable in a black hat, sunglasses and long coat, the Dance Again singer blended into the crowd as she strolled with her 'Beau' - that's what she calls her boyfriend of two years - down chic Via Condotti.

But the beauty - who is worth $250m - only window shopped as she passed Gucci, Valentino and Dior.

The proof: The love is back

The couple have recently been plagued by rumours that their relationship has been on the rocks.

Star magazine reported they split in October after a heated argument.

Other publications, including USWeekly, were quick to follow up with reports that the heat had cooled between the singer and the back-up dancer.

It seems to make sense that the Parker actress - who has been married three times (to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony) - has had her ups and downs with the young hunk, which is easy to understand considering they're 18 years apart in age. But the two seem to be on an 'up' at the moment.

And what a better place to rekindle that spark than Rome, where the pace is slower and there's beauty at every turn.

It didn't hurt that the former Fly Girl appears to have left her twins Emme and Max, aged five, at home, which means she isn't distracted by mommy duties.

On Wednesday the couple was seen getting back that loving feeling as they dressed up in black to dine at a romantic restaurant.

Seen smiling and laughing with staffers, Jennifer appeared stress-free. She also looked stunning with her hair pulled back, showing off diamond earrings.

Jennifer has been working nonstop for the past few years.

This year she has been touring with Casper and soon she will head into shooting American Idol, a show which she has already taped rehearsals for. Her 'Beau' serves as a choreographer on that reality show.

Last week Jennifer - who Casper calls 'Bear' - was seen shooting her thriller The Boy Next Door in LA, a movie in which she plays a cradle-snatcher who woos a much younger man.

The Rob Cohen-directed film co-stars Kristin Chenoweth as Jennifer’s best friend, and is produced by Blumhouse Productions, best known as the production house behind the horror hits Insidious and Paranormal Activity.

In the feature - which is set for a 2014 release - the actress plays a divorced mother who begins an ill-advised affair with an unstable teenage neighbour.

Jennifer won't have much time to lounge in Italy.

On November 24 she will perform a tribute for the late Celia Cruz at the 2013 American Music Awards.

I can only hope that I look as good as JLo when I get to her age. As for Casper, many men with children date younger women, so JLo can date whoever she wants, she is an international sex symbol and superstar so he is a lucky man

I would never go out with this guy; I don't like his face. JLo is so much more beautiful than me (but older) and I just don't understand why she doesn't want somebody more handsome. I bet she could find a better looking man. I know looks are not everthing but good looking guys can be nice people as well.
