Newcastle midfielder Dan Gosling is hoping to extend his loan at Blackpool.

The former Everton man has made just 16 appearances for Newcastle since his switch from Goodison Park on a free transfer in 2010.

Gosling said: 'Of course I’d be interested for staying for the rest of the season.

'It is a nice feeling to walk out and get 90 minutes of football every week.

'If the club want me here and Newcastle agree, then I’ll sit down and talk.

'I just want to keep performing and keep playing well and keep us high in the table.

'I just have to make sure I can keep my position in the team. I feel I can get better every week.'

Took advantage of well-intentioned naivete at Everton....then proceeded to mug the Geordies for a salary for a couple of years. Hope he gives back a bit more to a decent, historied, club like Blackpool!.
