Well, that was time well spent.

January Jones sure knows how to waste a few hours, managing to walk out of the hairdressers looking almost the same as she went in on Thursday.

Perhaps standing testament to her colourist's ability to make her look natural, the famous blonde stepped out of the Beverly Hills, California, salon looking as if she had never been in the chair.

The change may be more apparent when the 35-year-old dries off her locks, as she headed back to her car with wet hair.

For those trying to play spot the difference, it did appear as though the X-Men star may have had a little trim with the ends of her hair just skirting her shoulders.

The mother of one's blonde colour also looked a touch more consistent than it did when she first arrived at the Juan Juan Salon.

As always, the actress cut a stylish figure, dressing as if she was headed to a fancy lunch rather than just the salon.

For her day of pampering, the 35-year-old donned a pair of tight dark blue high waisted jeans, into which she tucked a white T-shirt with a pocket on front and added a pair of tribal sandals.

While high waisted denim is a tricky look at all times - not to mention with a shirt tucked into the front drawing attention to the belly area - January looked svelte and stylish.

The star's slender physique is made even more enviable considering January is a single mother with a two-year-old boy, who no doubt keeps her very busy.

She probably has a leave in conditioner. Any good hair stylist will tell you that blow drying your hair is damaging, air dry is really the best way.

Gorgeous actress and well suited for her part in Mad Men. But she has now been typecast. Mad Men will be the peak of her acting career. She should horde what she earned from it. But she probably will have some good residuals income from it that will last a few decades.
