The remains found in the Mojave desert were identified today as Joseph McStay, 42, and his 45-year-old wife, Summer. The couple and their sons have not been seen since leaving their suburban California home in February 2010. Captain Kevin Lacy, from the coroner's division, told a news conference on Friday they had also found children's remains but a positive ID had not been made. Joseph's father Patrick McStay said he believes the other bones belong to his grandsons Gianni, three, and four-year-old Joseph Jr. All pictured above.

Alan Markovitz (top right), a Detroit strip-club entrepreneur, erected the 12-foot-high, spot-lit sculpture in the backyard of his lakefront Orchard Lake home. The $7,000 sculpture points in the direction of the home of his ex-wife Lea Tuohy (pictured with her daughter Lenka Tuohy, bottom right).

The two-minute 50-second long clip was uploaded to YouTube on November 8 by Paris-based midwife Sonia Rochel, and has since been watched almost four million times. Olympic gold medalist Bode Miller has lost custody of a baby boy the mother claimed he tried to make her abort. A Manhattan court overturned an earlier family court decision on Friday, and ruled that the nine-month-old baby should not have been sent to live with the skier in California. Miller has been locked in a custody dispute with his former lover Sara McKenna, since their son was born in February.

Robin Moss, the grandmother of Emani Moss, was seen crying as she left the church where Emani's funeral was held in Lawrenceville, Georgia on Wednesday. Carl 'Moose' Muscarello is one of several men who has claimed to be the famous sailor snapped kissing a nurse on V-J Day 1945. Yesterday, Mr Muscarello visited a 25-foot statue reproduction of the famous smooch by artist Seward Johnson titled 'Unconditional Surrender'. Also present to see the sculpture was one of the picture's other subjects - a sailor in white pictured in the background identified as Tom Bozza of Bradenton, Florida.
