Busy after the breakup? Minka Kelly switches outfits three times as she juggles carrying a pink puff, walking her dog... and even fits in time for the gym!

The best way to cure a broken heart is to keep yourself busy, and Minka Kelly is definitely not leaving herself anytime for wallowing over her recent breakup from Chris Evans.

The 33-year-old Charlie's Angels star proved she was an expert at multitasking on Friday when she was first spotted shopping for new furniture in Hollywood, then quickly switched gears to look after her dog, fitted in a workout - and stylishly pulled off three different outfits in one day.

After carrying a huge pink puff stool to her car from her shopping trip, it was then the turn of her Cockapoo, Chewy, to get a lift while on their walk.

Dressed in a long black and white striped dress that looked like a classic prison uniform, the Almost Human actress proved that she doesn't need a man in her life to get every day errands done.

She completed her laidback look with sensible flat sandals and dark sunglasses, with her long hair falling loosely around her shoulders.

First on her busy Friday schedule was giving her Los Angeles home a makeover, with a very feminine pink stool that it would be hard to picture her Captain America star ex-boyfriend sitting on.

The actress, who first became famous in football drama Friday Night Lights, easily carried the fluffy puff with one hand as the kept a strong grip on her gold credit card in the other.

Minka also proved her strength while walking Chewy, even though the curly-haired pooch seemed fine on his own four feet she picked him up off the ground at one point - while still keeping hold of her coffee.

In a beige jumper, stone trousers and a baseball cap, Kelly was perfectly colour-coordinated with the cream Cocker Spaniel and Maltipoo mix.

'I can't get enough of this wookiee!' The Roommate actress previously gushed on her WhoSay account about her dog named after the legendary Star Wars character Chewbacca.

According to People, Minka - who was recently praised for her performance in The Butler - calls Chewy the 'love of my life' and says the feeling is mutual.

As if dog walking and lugging furniture around wasn't enough exercise for one day, Kelly also made time to hit the gym for a workout session.

A long-time client of celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, the fitness fanatic was spotted wearing a vest top reading 'Homies: South Central,' navy leggings and black Nike trainers.

The slim star says she makes sure she fits in at least one workout a day - sometimes two!

'I try to do yoga every morning at 7 a.m., it’s good to get your workout out of the way early,' she told Fitness Magazine last year.

'I also work out with my trainer Gunnar Peterson two days a week on top of that. I owe him a lot of credit for the shape I’m in because I love to eat! I have to workout extra hard to balance my love for food out.'

Rather than lamenting over her split from Chris, Minka turned to Twitter on Friday to promote her new show, Almost Human.

'It's OFFICIAL @AlmostHumanFOX is premiering this Sunday Nov 17th &18th on Fox at 8pm 7 central. Hope you love it!!' she excitedly wrote.

In the series, which is set 30 years in the future in a world where every human police officer is partnered with an android, Minka plays human cop Valerie Stahl.

The network plans to air a special preview on Sunday, November 17 and then move it to its regular time slot starting on Monday, November 18.

The Friday Night Lights star’s small screen return is sure to be bittersweet as according to reports it was work commitments which led to the demise of her relationship with Chris.

It was revealed recently that the pair had called time on their on/off relationship once again.

According to Us Weekly, while Minka has been busy shooting the show in Vancouver, 32-year-old Chris is set to play director and star in new movie 1:30 Train in New York City.'It didn’t make sense for them to be together right now,' a source told the magazine. The pair are, however, still on 'good terms'.

A cockapoo is a poodle cocker spanie mix. It's not a cocker spaniel maltipoo mix. The DM needs to do some fact checking and/or editing before putting it's articles to print. That fact you can check on Wikipedia and any other cockapoo website. My family's had these fabulous little dogs since before I was born. My dad's been a fan of them since the 1960's.
