She's got The Sex Factor! Demi Levato turns up the heat as she tweets a semi-nude snap from her upcoming video

Prolific tweeter Demi Lovato has posted a series of racy, risque stills from her new video 'Neon Lights' on her Twitter feed. Although they at first appear to show Demi naked, in a later tweet she gives thanks to the 'catsuit' she dons in the video.

'Since I passed the 20 million mark,' 21-year-old Demi tweeted with the initial photo, 'I'll release some early sneak peek pics from my new video Neon Lights.'

In the series of pics, Demi is bathed in a sea of moody blue light and a light mist of rain, wearing neon green fingernail polish and what appears to be a neon painted face mask in another.

Neon Lights is the third single from her 'Demi' album. She is also using the raunchy pix to promote her tour of the same name which kicks off in the US in February next year. On the bill to support Demi are also Cher Lloyd and Little Mix.

That's not all Demi has been tweeting and promoting this week. She also let her fans have a quick eyeball of her new book, Staying Strong, available to buy in the US this week.

The book is subtitled '365 days a year'' and contains the quote 'be grateful for your journey because it is yours alone'.

Staying Strong is actually a collection of Demi's tweets which the book's publishers call 'a powerful 365-day collection of Demi's most honest, brave and hopeful insights.

'Here are her own words with quotes that inspire her, as well as personal reflections and goals. This is a book for everyone, everywhere on their own journey who need comfort, inspiration and a reason every day to stay strong.'

The sneak peak that Demi gives for her new book is her first thought of the day, for January 5.

'There are so many beautiful, talented souls in this world,' she writes. 'Don't let anything stand in the way of your potential. I've encountered so many people in my life who tell me that I can't do something.

To that end, Demi then adds on a goal for the day which is to 'think about one thing you've been holding back on doing and start doing it today. Be fearless.'

A Spanish edition of Staying Strong is already in the works too, while Demi is also currently writing a memoir due for release next year.

As if that wasn't enough to contend with, it seems that The X Factor US judge's lovelife has picked up too. Demi was spotted out this week with a mystery date after attending a Hollywood function together.

Although her hair was still in its 'true blue' phase, Demi rocked a leather jacket that matched her high Christian Louboutin ankle boots.

Little wonder that in the midst of all her 'sneak peeks' Demi posted another tweet saying she was 'too excited to sleep'. 'God is SO GOOD!!' she declared euphorically.

the seX factor-yeah see what you did there, that would have been a clever pun if you hadn¿t already run that line to death with Nicole Schezinger , now it¿s just trite from over use. Though she is a lovely woman

I find it funny how Miley stripped for her music video and it was embarrassing etc. but Demi does it and she's beautiful etc. At the end of the day they're both from Disney backgrounds and they've done the same thing.
