Her current film sees a teenage boy becoming dangerously obsessed with her.

And perhaps the on-screen infatuation has something to do with the sexy librarian look Jennifer Lopez was rocking on Saturday, as she lounged about the Los Angeles set in a windowsill wearing geek-chic glasses and a low cut top.

The 37-year-old star must have been fresh off the plane from Rome, Italy, where she has just enjoyed a romantic gallivant with her real life toyboy, Casper Smart.

J-Lo's beautifully toned physique was put on show in the movie set window, as she was neatly clad by wardrobe in a tight maroon tank top.

Her brunette tresses were pulled back into an easy ponytail, with loose wispy bits hanging around her face to create a natural, sexy look to go with the thick-rimmed reading glasses that framed her pretty face.

The naturally stunning actress leaned over the edge of the window, appearing to call out to whoever was down below.

But Jennifer apparently then faced another hour or so in the wardrobe trailer, as she later appeared in a flattering tight green skirt which allowed for ample opportunity to show off her impeccably toned legs.

A silk white sleeveless shirt made up the star's top half, and her hair was let down into natural waves as she made her way around set in beige heels.

Jennifer has been shooting the thriller all this month in Los Angeles.

The Rob Cohen-directed film co-stars Kristin Chenoweth as Jennifer’s best friend, and is produced by Blumhouse Productions, best known as the production house behind the horror hits Insidious and Paranormal Activity.

In the feature - which is set for a 2014 release - Jennifer Lopez plays a divorced mother who begins an ill-advised affair with an unstable teenage neighbour.

After she attempts to break off the affair, she becomes an object of obsession for the young man as his fixation takes a dangerous turn.

The notion of dating below one's own age will not be an unfamiliar one for the talented celebrity.

She has been dating her 26-year-old former backup dancer Casper Smart for the last two years.

And it's possible that Jennifer may have been a little sleepy that day on set, because just days earlier she was gallivanting around Rome with Casper himself.

The pair were seen holding hands as they explored the Italian city together, appearing very much in love in spite of rumours that their relationship was on the rocks.

She seems much more relaxed, happy and down to earth since she has been with Casper. And the fact she accepted this part proves she has a great sense of humor and does not give a dam about what her detractors can think. It's a clear message.
