Hands-on mom! Naomi Watts keeps up with young boys Alexander and Samuel during shopping trip to New York City market

Naomi Watts had energetic companions for her casual trip to a New York City grocery store on Monday as her two young sons came along.

The 45-year-old Mulholland Drive star kept it casual for the family trip to a market in the East Village neighbourhood of the Big Apple.

She was wearing a pair of blue skinny jeans and a loose blouse with a purple sweater.

Naomi had on a funky pair of purple high-top sneakers and also sported a warm black jacket.

The King Kong star let her blonde hair down and her locks bounced on her shoulders.

Naomi smiled as she raced to keep up with six-year-old Alexander as he pushed a grocery cart along the sidewalk.

Casual look: Naomi kept it casual in jeans, a loose blouse and purple sweater and kept warm with a coat

Her eldest child with 46-year-old actor Liev Schreiber was wearing blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and grey hoodie for the walk to the market.

Alexander's four-year-old younger brother Samuel wore khaki trousers and a pink hoodie.

The boys also were spotted on Monday enjoying some time with their father on his triple-seater bicycle.

The boys had on black jackets and helmets as Liev gave them a lift to school on the bike.

Samuel was riding in the back with his arms extended while Alexander was perched in front of his father.

The deep-voiced actor recently has been flying between New York and Canada to shoot the biopic Pawn Sacrifice with Peter Sarsgaard.
