Third time's the charm! Melanie Griffith wears her favourite leather dress as she latches onto Antonio Banderas at film premiere

Melanie Griffith has been seen in the same leather dress a number of times, but getting her husband Antonio Banderas to join her at an event is a rarity.

The 56-year-old actress definitely had her clutches on her man as they arrived to the New York premiere of Black Nativity on Monday.

Antonio, 53, looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on the red carpet while Melanie embraced the spotlight with a smile and her chin up.

Melanie showed who was the boss as she wrapped a strong arm around the Spanish actor's shoulders, drawing him even closer. 

The Working Girl star looked amazing in a sleek, tightly fitting black leather dress she's worn on two previous occasions.

And it wasn't hard to see why as it flattered her figure, showing off her ample cleavage with its low-cut neckline and her slender limbs with its thigh-trailing hemline.

Melanie added a glittery black blazer, sheer black stockings and black suede ankle boots, and she also carried a small black shoulder bag over one shoulder.

The soft-voiced star also wore the slippery frock to the CineMerit Award during the Munich film festival in Germany on July 3, 2012.

And previously, on April 12, 2012, she wore the dress while attending The New York Rescue Workers And Gulf Coast Detoxification Projects in West Hollywood.

On Monday, her pale blonde tresses were casually twisted into an attractive updo with wispy bangs, and her neutral-toned make-up was an excellent choice.

Antonio, on the other hand, turned his sheepish smile towards the cameras as Melanie hung onto his arm.

The Mask Of Zorro star was casually hip in blue jeans, a crisp and white button-up shirt and navy dress jacket.

The years have been kind to the handsome heartthrob, who sported grey flecks in his curly dark hair.

Melanie and Antonio were also seen at Sunday's Formula One Grand Prix party in Los Angeles, where they posed with towering Scottish star Gerard Butler.

The couple recently completed the Spanish sci-fi thriller Automata, which has a planned 2014 release in Spain but has yet to be given a US release date.
