Shopping for baby! Hilary Duff hits the mall with adorable son Luca to buy him some new shoes

Clearly the family that shops together, stays together, or at the very least, has a lot of fun doing it.

On Friday, a day at the shopping mall turned into a giggle filled activity for Hilary Duff, her husband Mike Comrie and son Luca.

The adorable family headed out to Westfield Mall in Century City, California for a spot of retail therapy.

As the apple of his famous parents' eyes, the shopping was of course all about 18-month-old Luca.

Reveling in all the attention, the blonde haired little boy giggled away as his mother and father combed the racks for new clothing for him.

Their first port of call was a shoe store in which 26-year-old Hilary spent a long time trying to pick the perfect shoes.

While most men are not the biggest fans of shoe shopping, the former hockey star quickly made some suggestions, bringing them over to the Lizzie McGuire actress and their bub.

Mike's pick - a pair of high top olive green sneakers and a pair of black lo-cut leather ones for his son.

Clearly the black sneakers were an instant hit, as the almost two-year-old decided to wear them out of the stor,e swapping from a pair of cosy sheepskin lined boots.

Once the shoes were picked out, the trio were content to wander the extensive mall.

Being one of Los Angeles' biggest outdoor malls, and the city finally seeing some of winter's cooler temperatures, Hilary ensured her brood were all well wrapped up.

For their shopping day, Luca was rugged up in a pair of camouflage print sweatpants with a complementary grey ribbed hooded knitted shirt.

Clearly feeling as snug as bug in rug, the little boy happily enjoyed his bottle of milk while his mother walked along with him on her hip.

As a hockey player, Mike is clearly more used to the cold and forwent a sweater, wearing a black T-shirt with a pair of blue jeans, a black beanie and a pair of white leather Converse sneakers.

His wife, meanwhile, looked as though she was about to head into the snow, covering up in a big white woolen scarf, a thick black top under a red leather jacket and a pair of easy to wear slim cut tracksuit pants.

The mother of one followed her boys' lead and also donned a pair of lace up sneakers.

The outfit would have been perfect just a few days ago when the family took a mini vacation to the snow.

Using a private jet to get there quickly, the trio spent their time indoors bonding as a family while plenty of the white stuff fell around them.

She's a role model because she, like (Miley, Lindsay etc.) grown up in the limelight and seems to be the only one who is grounded, humble, and has morals/decorum. She spends A LOT of time with her family, and clearly adores and dotes on her son unlike 99% of celebrities - who's children are brought up by nannies. She got married, then had a baby (THE RIGHT AND PROPER WAY). She's had 3 successful books, working on her new album, I could go on... Who would you say is a good role model? Rihanna? Kim K? Amanda Bynes? Katy Perry? LOL
