He narrowly avoided jail time earlier this week and was ordered back into rehab.

And it seems no-one is more concerned about Chris Brown than his mother Joyce Hawkins.

Known to his millions of fans as 'mom breezy' on Twitter, the woman appeared to break her silence this week after it was reported that he threw a rock at her car window.

Joyce tweeted: 'MY ANGEL WITH BROKEN WINGS GOD LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I DO AS WELL.'

Now, TMZ have claimed that Joyce believes Chris has fallen in with the wrong crowd.

The website claims that the rapper's 'crew' only spend time with Chris for 'the money and fame... and she thinks they got him addicted to weed.'

TMZ revealed this week that Chris was kicked out of his rehab program earlier this month after he through a rock at his mother's car window.

The site reports that his mother showed up to a 'family session' and was urging Christ to stay for extended treatment.

Chris is said to have 'violently disagreed with her' and shattered her car window with a rock.

Now Chris is said to be asking a judge's permission to be absent from court next week in his misdemeanor assault case in the District of Columbia.

Chris's lawyers will ask a judge Friday to let Brown skip a Monday status conference in D.C. Superior Court.

He was ordered into anger management rehabilitation this week following a Los Angeles court appearance.

The lawyers say they haven't had an opportunity to review evidence with Brown. They say it doesn't make sense for him to check out of rehab and travel cross-country when all they plan to do Monday is request a new court date.

Chris and bodyguard Chris Hollosy were arrested last month on charges of punching a man outside a hotel who tried to jump into a picture with the singer.

Meanwhile, it's not the first time Joyce has spoken out on Twitter.

Last month it was reported that Chris' mother unfollowed her son, and had sided with his ex girlfriend Rihanna.

Joyce was also forced to apologize in 2010 when she tweeted following the death of Michael Jackson: 'Michael Jackson died so that Chris Brown could live!!!'

She explained about the off statement: 'I'm so sorry that the tweet I sent yesterday was misunderstood. What I meant to say is that Chris has always been inspired by Michael Jackson's music and his career.'

And later tweeted, 'I'm sorry I offended anyone. The statement meant Chris would carry on Michaels [sic] legacy.'

I bet Chris Hollosy's mum, and the mothers of the rest of the 'wrong crew' will be just as adamant that Brown has led their precious sons astray. But in reality they are probably all as bad as each other.
