When winter hits, style comes a distant second to warmth.

But despite being swamped by a cosy winter coat, Drew Barrymore managed to jazz up her look with a quirky pair of sneakers

The pregnant star covered her baby bump in an effortlessly chic ensemble as she squeezed in an early dinner at The Grill in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday.

The busy 38-year-old actress showed her flair for fashion by donning a trendy camel coat over a navy blouse, distressed skinny jeans, and funky patterned sneakers.

Perhaps the 50 First Dates star was on a time crunch to get home to her loved ones, including her husband Will Kopelman and one-year-old Olive, as she seemed to be in a rush to leave the restaurant.

Drew basks in domestic bliss with her family and isn't in dire need of a wild night out on the town.

The former child star recently told Women's Health magazine about how her priorities have changed now she has a family, saying, 'Being a mom is first - that's now number one.'

Addressing the challenge that every working mother faces, Drew said: 'Everything I'm going to do is going to have a real consciousness toward - is this a job I can do and still get home in time for dinner and have days where I get to do every diaper change?'

Discussing a common theme amongst working mothers, she went on to talk of her struggle with guilt.

'Then I'm going to have to go out on certain days and work and not try to feel like the guiltiest person on the planet, which every mother understands,' Drew said.

The Hollywood star also slammed the pressure to look perfect with the words: 'You're not supposed to look perfect while you're making babies. Making babies is the perfection.

'It's about feeling good in clothes and knowing you can get dressed up in the evening, work it for a minute, and maybe get back in a certain pair of jeans.

'But there's just no such thing as perfection. So if you're trying to get there you're just torturing yourself.'
