On Sunday singer Jordin Sparks went for Gladiator-style glamor as she arrived at the American Music Awards in LA, wearing a black leather studded outfit.

Flashing the long billowing material, Jordin sparkled as she posed on the red carpet at the event.

The 23-year-old singer-and-actress showed off a bit of leg in the sexy outfit, that glimmered thanks to the gold studded detail.

Jordin famously lost 50 pounds over a two-and-a-half year period and recently revealed that she maintains her shapely figure by working out with her boyfriend Jason Derulo.

'I get on the Stairmaster for 15 minutes to raise my heart rate and it kicks my butt. It's tough but I love it. Then I follow that up with circuit training,' she explained to Bang Showbiz.

'Jason's been showing me some exercises too, I love working out with him. I do have cheat days where I eat food that I know is bad for me but then I just make sure to get back in the gym the next day.'

Jordin worked with Whitney Houston on her last movie 'Sparkle' before the singer died of accidental drowning caused by cardiac failure after taking cocaine in February 2012 and Jordin will always treasure the memories of working with Whitney.

She said: 'It was really incredible to work with Whitney Houston. I was so nervous the first day but she was so cool. As soon as she walked into the room and I was in her presence it was amazing. She was so special, there's no one else like her. There's only one voice like that.'
