Goldie Hawn didn't appear to be in a particularly festive mood as she left the gym on Thanksgiving.

But who could blame her?

While most people were at home celebrating the holiday with their nearest and dearest, the star was working up a sweat ahead of indulging in a calorie-laden feast with her own family.

No rest for the wicked: The 68-year-old showed off her impressive physique in figure-hugging black pinstripe leggings and a plunging black and grey striped top, while she certainly proved her dedication by working out on the holiday

The usually bubbly blonde had a severe case of duck lips, pouting rather angrily as she pounded the pavement still in her workout clothes, clutching her handbag to her chest.

Though it's likely she perked up pretty quickly once she arrived at son Oliver Hudson's LA home, as she got to spend the afternoon bonding with her three gorgeous grandchildren over a delicious home-cooked meal.

The five-time grandmother - daughter Kate Hudson has two sons, Ryder, nine, and Bingham, two - showed off her enviable physique at 68 in her figure-hugging black pinstripe three-quarter leggings and plunging black and grey horizontal striped tank top, which was threatening to expose her bosom.

The former Oscar-winning actress wore her trademark long golden tresses loose and straight, while she appeared to be more or less make-up-free.

The star stood out in her favourite bright red square-frame sunglasses, which have become her must-have accessories of late.

Her 37-year-old son was no doubt relishing spending some quality time with his family, as he's currently starring in hit ABC musical drama Nashville, which films in Tennessee's country music capital.

Ready for her close-up: The one-time Oscar-winner appeared to be wearing very little if no make-up, while she wore her signature golden locks loose in a straight style and donned her favourite red square-framed shades

The actor and wife Erinn Bartlett, who is also an actress, recently welcomed their third child, daughter Rio, who was born in July.

The new addition joined big brothers Wilder, six, and Bodhi, three-and-a-half.
