British hunk Josh Bowman shows off his toned physique as chills out on a rooftop in Rio de Janeiro.

The 25-year-old Revenge actor was spotted spending some downtime with friends while taking in views of Ipanema Beach on Thursday.

Not seen was his co-star and real life girlfriend Emily VanCamp.

The actor was wearing a red football shirt, before stripping down to a pair of shorts to work on his tan in the balmy weather.

Josh plays Daniel Grayson in ABC show Revenge and recently spoke candidly about how he wants his character killed off.

Speaking to TV Guide, the actor explained: 'I'm trying to pitch a Daniel death by the end of the season.

'I love working on the show, but I'm just being honest. My character has flip-flopped the most, and it's been so hard for me to play,' he added, saying he has expressed his concerns to producers.

In the show Bowman's character is engaged to Thorne, the role played by off-screen lover VanCamp, 27.

Revenge has not being doing so well in the ratings recently.

With the mid-seaon finale approaching, the third season has seen viewer figures dip to below 6 million; more than 8million tuned into the Season 3 premiere in comparison.

There are two more episodes to air in December, before the show returns in March, moving from its 9pm Sunday slot to 10pm.

Josh visited Rio for the new John John denim store opening on Tuesday in Sao Paulo.
