She's gone from the feisty Kick Ass heroine to taking on one of the most famous film roles of all time.

And while Chloe Moretz admits that playing Carrie in the remake of the 1976 film was a somewhat daunting prospect, she never had any doubt that she would be able to pull the role off.

She said: 'I knew I could do it inside myself but I know that audiences have never seen me go there before. They've only really only seen me as the fierce, warrior-type character.'

But with a co-star such as Julianne Moore and director like Kimberly Pierce, Chloe managed to fully get into character as Stephen King's bloodied prom queen.

Chloe said of working with Kimberly: 'Having a brilliant director alongside you means that you are guided to places that are very interesting.'

And the respect between Chloe and Julianne, who plays her on-screen mother in the film, is most definitely mutual, with the 52-year-old actress admitting that she was blown away by her teenage co-star's talent.

She said: 'I had a great partner in Chloe. She's such a lovely girl and she's 15, so it was my responsibility to take care of her.'

It's not a bad effort as far as remakes go but she is just not gawky and awkward enough. Sissy was original and best.

I do believe this one will be a little more in depth than the original. From the trailer I've seen, you get to see more of the destruction of the town after she massacres the school, which is actually a sizable chunk of the book. Also it will be graphically better.

You cannot deny that she is an amazing little actress at just 16 and I cannot wait to see what future movies she'll be in.

Nobody could ever play Carrie as brilliantly as Spacek did. This looks like the same type of tacky, tasteless rubbish that every Hollywood horror remake is. It'll be long forgotten in 5 years whereas de Palma's will still be lauded in 50.

Sissy Spacek looked ethereal and self-conscious, quirky beautiful; but this girl has a very fashionable look, the type of prettiness that would make her one of the most popular in school surely?

she was really good playing a vampire in one of her movies ...after seeing all the stills for Carrie i feel i've watched it already. hollywood are great at throwing more effects at remakes, doesn't necessarily make the remake better though

I usually ignore remakes like this, but I'll give this a look and she is the principle reason. How many other sixteen year old actresses can you say that about?
