It's a sad fact for many divorced parents that they can't both be with their children on the holidays.

And this year, Brandi Glanville spent Thanksgiving alone while her sons were with their father Eddie Cibrian and his new wife LeAnn Rimes.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star spent her day watching TV at home - while her sons cuddled up to her arch enemy LeAnn for a family portrait.

Not one to hide away her happiness, LeAnn was keen to share the day with her fans.

'Thanksgiving wishes from our blended family to yours,' she tweeted.

'So much love and peace.'

Her message was accompanied by a picture of her posing happily in front of a Christmas tree with Eddie, and his sons Mason, nine, and Jake, five.

'Feeling very grateful for a great love, great family & friends, my wonderful stepsons, new beginnings that are soon to come & all of you.'

And with pictures of a beautifully laid Thanksgiving table, complete with luscious displays of flowers, fairytale pumpkins and crystal glasses, LeAnn had certainly pulled out all the stops.

Joining the couple for dinner were both Eddie's and Leann's parents, and her record producer friend Darrell Brown.

Meanwhile Brandi's day wasn't quite as cheerful.

'Happy Turkey day! Gobble gobble! focus on the positive, be thankful and give back!' she tweeted at first.

Then she added: 'Just spoke to my parents and my kids wished them a Happy Thanks & now Im rewatching Hunger Games cuz i fell asleep!'

And while her children tucked into turkey with the trimmings with her ex, Brandi stuck to a more healthy diet feasting on an Apple berry crisp.

The 41-year-old is currently single following the end of her most recent relationship.

Well, I'm sure they had an amicable arrangement with the kids but why do Leanne and Eddie have to flaunt the visit on social media? And now they seem to have their parents in on it. It is just bad form.

Seriously- these are two grown women sniping at each other over twitter- yes your ex-husband married someone else but stop being bitter! LeAnn seems like she loves the two boys and surely that's all you want for your kids!

How is any of this be see it in Brandi Glanville's face? She and her ex husband have joint custody of those boys which means they split the holidays between them and more than likely the boys will spend Christmas Day with her. Lots of people posted pictures of their Thanksgiving celebrations not just LeAnn Rimes, on top of that, the boys look as if they're having a great time with their father, stepmother and grandparents and at the end of the day surely that is all that matters?

Im in a same kind of situation as Brandi...it is hard, but as long as you keep your dignity and never bad mouth the father in front of your child (no matter how much they bad mouth you) your kids will be better for it...and as they get a little older they realize who really cares for them....Go team Brandi!

It's very sad when people can't think of others when they post insensitive 'family' photos like these. Le Ann split up their family and doesn't seem to have any care about hurting other people. It's fine to have a lovely dinner together, just don't rub people's noses in it.
