And Katherine Schwarzenegger seemed to be bringing the movie to life when she went on a post-Thanksgiving shopping spree with her mother Maria Shriver in Malibu on Saturday.

The pair were looking sassy as they indugled in a spot of retail therapy in the well-heeled celebrity enclave.

Journalist Maria, 58, drew more than her fair share of glances in a lacy blue see through pullover, black trousers and boots.

The slimline television personality rounded off her looked with a wonderfully oversized pair of sunglasses,

Katherine, 23, also looked good in a dressed down ensemble of denim jacket, black top, jeans and trainers.
However the member of their entourage that was sure to have been drawing the most attention of all was her adorable brown puppy, who the writer kept ticked snugly underneath her left arm.

Maria filed for divorce from actor turned politician Arnold, 65, in July 2011 after it emerged he had fathered a son with the family's housekeeper.

But two years later and according to reports neither side is in a hurry to finalise proceedings, and remain on good terms despite the scandal.

Both are extremely rich and do not need financial support while another suggestion is that they do not want to throw away 25 years of marriage and may actually get back together.

In January this year, the Austrian Oak told a German newspaper he hoped they would be reunited.

He said: 'We're not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation, I still love Maria.'
