Nothing like retail therapy! Taylor Swift shows off toned legs as she shops with her mother in New Zealand ahead of concert

Taylor Swift has been delivering some amazing performances in Auckland this weekend, and no doubt the shopping she's been doing between shows is helping.

With her mother in tow, the 23-year-old singer managed to squeeze in more well-deserved retailing in New Zealand's largest metropolis ahead of Sunday's concert.

It looks Taylor found a few things she liked in one home furnishing store as she was seen leaving with a burly bodyguard holding the bagged purchases.

Taylor was on a mission, dressed to knock everyone out in her tiny green shorts that displayed her slim pale limbs and a purple-striped, long-sleeved knit top.

As the day wore on, Taylor appeared to wear a pinched frown that spoke of impatience and an unwillingness to waste time.

She strolled a step or two behind her mother Andrea who pointed out another store and perhaps insisted they go inside.

After all, Taylor has a huge new house to fill after purchasing an oceanfront $17 million mansion in Watch Hill, an affluent coastal town in Rhode Island.

With seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms in 11,000 square feet, that's a lot of space to furnish.

By the time the concert rolled around that evening, Taylor was rearing to go.

Taylor's circus-themed show featured 15 dancers and 11 band members, with a carousel, music box, flying sparks and mega-sized screens.

Red is the name of the tour and her latest album, as well as the theme of her 90-minute concert.

'I spend a lot of time thinking about things in terms of analogies or metaphors,' Taylor told her fans during her Friday night show.

'And I found that there's one colour that represents the emotions that I've been writing a lot of songs about, extreme emotions, like love, and heartbreak. And that colour is bright, burning, red.'

It's been nearly a year since Taylor last performed in New Zealand, during her Speak Now tour, and she's an even bigger star now with a total of 15 American Music Awards and seven Grammys.
