Wearing her heart on her shirt! Heidi Klum updates season's hottest trend by adding a cute and quirky leather bowtie

It's the trend that swept the showbiz world - with everybody from Harry Styles to Victoria Beckham sporting the look.

But when Heidi Klum decided to try her luck with a heart-print shirt, she opted to give it her own twist by adding a leather bowtie.

The 40-year-old gave her navy top, which boasted a white collar, a retro feel by adding the accessory, and teamed the shirt with a pair of velvet trousers.

Mother-of-four Heidi finished off her look with a pair of pointed heels, and left her blonde hair artfully tousled, with her full fringe left straight and blunt.

But Heidi's look wasn't just a regular off-duty ensemble, as she was reportedly shooting a new fashion reality show as she was seen in west Hollywood.

Heidi's solo outing came after she and her children were seen at Mr. Greentrees in West Hollywood over the weekend, attempting to pick out their perfect tree ahead of Christmas.

However, while searching for the ideal festive option, the German's Next Top Model host and her brood couldn't decide on just one and ended up taking home six separate trees ahead of the Christmas season.

And these trees were not some little corner decorations, one of the massive firs was 12 foot tall and cost over $1,000 - requiring two men to carry it to the family's waiting truck.

After spending a long time finding the firs that best met their needs, the family watched on as two men lugged the giant Christmas trees over to their large truck.

The pick up was clearly perfect for hauling the massive trees, and getting the television host's large family from A to B, but it did look a little out of place earlier in the day.

Heidi is a big fan of Christmas - as she is all holidays particularly Halloween - so much so that she even recorded a Christmas carol.

Released in 2006, Wonderland as the song was called, featured a then two-year-old Leni playing in the snow.
