Quick change! Naomi Watts struts around in studded designer gear... then pulls on a woolly coat for the school run

With her partner Liev Schreiber hard at work on his new movie, Naomi Watts has been pulling double duty at home.

The busy actress got all gussied up for what appeared to be a business meeting in New York earlier on Wednesday, but was back her natural self when it came time to retrieve her sons from school.

Naomi, 45, was head to toe chic for her first appointment in a Burberry Prorsum black studded top - which retail for around $2,000, and a stylish mustard-yellow pencil-line skirt, Proenza Schouler heels and a smart clutch.

Her hair was silky with a straight blow-dry and her fair features were brightened by traces of rouge, eye shadow and rosy lipstick.

Once the meeting was done, Naomi just looked in a hurry to get home and changed into more comfy clothes, and is isn't a stretch as to why.

By afternoon, the Mulholland Drive star was back out on the street picking up her boys, Sasha, six, and Samuel, who turns five this month, from their school.

Naomi was dressed for chilly weather in a charcoal-grey, hooded woolen coat over a pair of loosely fitted trousers that she matched with rugged black boots.

By then she had washed away the make-up, preferring the fresh-faced look, and her blonde hair was brushed back into a no-fuss ponytail.

She didn't waste any time getting her boys and their hefty ruck packs into a waiting car, and when Sammy lagged behind Naomi gestured for him to pick up the pace.

The brothers were similarly dressed in warm black hooded parkas.

While Sasha sported a blue shirt and camouflage trousers, Sammy looked cute in a green jumper over striped shirt and beige trousers.

Naomi's long-time love, Liev, 46, is currently filming the biopic Pawn Sacrifice in Canada alongside Peter Sarsgaard.

He's been flying back and forth to the family's home in New York where they are often seen walking or riding bikes.

Naomi, meanwhile, has also been filming the comedy While We're Young with Ben Stiller, about an A-type documentary filmmaker and his wife who befriend a carefree couple.

Amanda Seyfried and Adam Driver co-star as the fancy-free and footloose pair that loosen them up.

Why do people like this woman? I was never a fan but my estimation of her still managed to go down when she said 'Diana had spoken' to her before she made the film. How disrespectful.
