When it comes to the red carpet Amy Adams can more than hold her own.

But she kept it casual on Wednesday as she arrived in New York City with her fiance and three-year-old daughter the day after stealing the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film.

The 39-year-old actress wore a pair of blue skinny jeans tucked into knee-high brown leather boots.

The American Hustle star also donned a loose grey T-shirt, black jacket and a pair of large sunglasses.

The star let her red hair fall loosely onto her shoulders, accessorised with a few simple necklaces and carried a designer purse.

Amy's longtime beau and fiance Darren Le Gallo followed her cue and also dressed down for the cross-country flight.

Aviana was dressed up in a light blue onesie with a dark blue jacket and shiny purple boots.

Amy attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie American Hustle on Tuesday looking Hollywood glamourous in a sheer David Koma pencil dress.

The Oscar-nominated stole the carpet in the fitted black-and-white frock that featured a see-through panel down to her calves.

American Hustle is set in the 1970s disco era and tells the story of con man Irving Rosenfeld, portrayed by Christian Bale, who finds himself working with the FBI in a public corruption investigation.

Amy portrays Irving's lover and confidante Sydney Prosse in the film that also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper.

The movie was directed by David O. Russell and will be released on December 20.
