Even world renowned actresses can have a bad hair day.

Luckily for Jessica Biel, a quick trip to her favourite stylist can address any folical-related evil - even shapeless frizz.

Arriving at a salon in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the 31-year-old smiled broadly, despite her frazzled mane, and exited two hours later with newly cut and coloured locks.

As well as subtle high and low-lights, the Total Recall actress opted for a thick side-fringe, which complimented her famous cheekbones.

Wearing a grey coat, polka dot shirt and skinny jeans, Jessica - who is married to Sexy Back singer Justin Timberlake - quickly pulled her hair into a sleek ponytail as she walked to the salon.

Accessorising with large sunglasses, lace-up flats and a large black handbag, the star seemed to be having a casual day.

The striking brunette recently changed her surname to Timberlake after she and Justin tied the knot in October 2012, in a star-studded ceremony in Italy.

However, she has had to defend the state of her marriage already, after rumours began to circulate when Justin showed up alone to the American Music Awards last month.

'I'm watching from home tonight. Calm down, Internet,' the clearly disgruntled 31-year-old tweeted.
