Olivia Newton-John has taken a staggering $500,000 off the $6.2 million asking price of the Florida mansion where a contractor committed suicide in August this year, according to Radaronline.
The Grease star, 64, and her husband John Easterling had since reportedly invited an exorcist to the property to expel the spirit of the suicide victim.
Discounted: Olivia Newton-John has knocked $500,000 off the price of her beach-front Florida home, where a contractor tragically killed himself in August 2013
A hard sell: John Easterling and Olivia Newton-John, pictured here at the Healthy Child Healthy World Awards Gala in Los Angeles last month, will find it hard to get a buyer for their house
Prayers were spoken and holy water sprinkled around rooms in the house, according to the Sunday Express.
Yet an Orlando estate agent said: 'Unfortunately there is a grim notoriety to the house and people are put off by that. Whoever buys the home will always know that someone blew their brains out in there.'
The singer and actress first bought the home in 2009 for $4.1 million.
In an effort to remodel the abode, they hired 41-year-old Christopher Pariseleti to do a $2 million overhaul.
Mr Pariseleti, a married father of two, who was suffering serious financial woes, killed himself after he was reportedly refused a loan by Newton-John to keep his business afloat, and chose to do it on the property to disrupt the sale.
An attempt to cleanse: Olivia even invited an exorcist to rid the house of spirits after the unfortunate suicide

A police statement said at the time: 'This case investigation has been classified as a suicide and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Pariseleti.'
The Australian icon first thought she had found a buyer for the home in the form of Rosie O'Donnell, who sold her own Miami mansion for $16.5 million in June.
But she too was said to have pulled out of the deal in the wake of the suicide.
The house is currently advertised for sale at a reduced price of $5.7 million.

Nothing to see: The property was surrounded by police tape on August 19, 2013. Tragically, the deceased was a married father of two who reportedly was suffering serious financial problems
