'I love her... I love every bit of her': The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran announces engagement to long-term girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey

The Wanted heartthrob Siva Kaneswaran has reveaeld he is engaged to girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey.

The 25-year-old singer turned the tables on Nareesha, who he has been dating for the past six years, when she tried to throw him a surprise birthday bash - but he made it into an engagement party.

Siva told Hello! magazine: 'It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn't even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise.'

The singer said he discovered shoe designer Nareesha was aiming to throw a party for him - but he then enlisted help to spring his own surprise.

The full interview appears in this week's Hello! magazine

The occasion saw him on bended knee with a three-carat diamond solitaire ring which he had specially designed, as he asked her to be his wife.

Kaneswaran - who also posed for pictures with his bride-to-be for the magazine - continued: 'I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by - for you to be my wife.

'I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time. I love her, I love every bit of her.'

However, Nareesha was so stunned by the proposal that she turned Siva down at first, but then later accepted.

She said: 'I'm still in shock. I don't like surprises and he really surprised me, but I was so happy. I can't wait to start planning the wedding.'

Siva and Nareesha's engagement is not the first in The Wanted - as his bandmate Max George was formerly engaged to Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan,.

However, the pair later split and she is now engaged to former TOWIE star Mark Wright.

I have not watched the Wanted reality show but I can already tell by these two pictures that she is the dominant one. I know he's a boy-band pin up but he appears more conscious and effortful of his own appearance as much, if not more, as she does - and this is not manly. Dominance is normally considered a manly characteristic, so she has taken over that where he lacks it.
