It's one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the year.
And despite director Zack Snyder's Kryptonite grip on the plot of his new Batman V Superman project, fans can now get a first look at the preparations.
Builders are busy constructing a lifesize farm in rural Illinois.
First look: The set of Batman v Superman under construction in Yorkville, Illinois
Moving in: Henry Cavill, as Superman, in Man Of Steel; he will repirse the role in the as yet untitled Batman V Superman project
With snow lying on the ground, a retro farm complete with silo, barns, and large family home is fast being recreated.
On Wednesday workers on cherry pickers were hard at work on the set, where up to a dozen vehicles could be seen parked outside the temporary wooden building.
While the outbuildings appeared complete, the home was yet to receive its cladding.

Vintage styling: The set is thought to be the home where Kal-El, or Clark Kent as he was renamed, is raised by his adoptive parents after they find him naked and alone on his crash landing
As fans will know, Superman crash lands in Illinois after his desperate parents send him away from his home planet of Krypton to save his life.
And while the town of Metropolis styles itself 'the home of Superman', it is 300 miles away in Yorkville that the Marvel comic tales are becoming a reality.
According to local reports, the filming disturbed local residents, who were confused by lights in the night sky.
Unaware that the film was set in the area they contacted local law enforcement.

The Yorkville Patch found that No Trespassing signs had been put up in the area, and fake street signs could be seen, while a planning officer confirmed the filming would continue into the spring.

And it certainly bares more than a passing resemblance to the home where Superman was raised in former recreations of the Marvel comic, including the TV show Smallville.

While construction is well underway on location, details of the casting are slowly emerging.
Henry Cavill is returning, as expected, to play Clark Kent/Superman, while Ben Affleck has controversially won the sought after role of Batman.
The Man Of Steel follow up will also feature Israeli supermodel Gal Godot as Wonder Woman.
And on Wednesday it was revealed that Game Of Thrones star Jason Momoa has entered talks to join the project.
It is thought the muscular star will play a villain - although which one will feature in the movie is unknown.

Fans have debated that the choice could be Doomsday, whose existence is hinted at in the extras of the Man of Steel Blu-ray.
But a source told The Hollywood Reporter that if Warners is populating the movie with members of The Justice League, the villain could the Martian Manhunter.
Despite the controversy over his casting, Affleck has opened up about his thoughts on the movie in January's Playboy.
'When they asked if I would be Batman, I told them I didn’t see myself in the role and I was going to have to beg off,' he revealed.

'They said I’d fit well into how they were going to approach the character and asked me to look at what the writer-director, Zack Snyder, was doing. The stuff was incredible.
'It was a unique take on Batman that was still consistent with the mythology. It made me excited. All of a sudden I had a reading of the character.
When people see it, it will make more sense than it does now or even than it did to me initially.'
As far as how his role is different from Christian Bale's Batman he said, 'I don’t want to give away too much, but the idea for the new Batman is to redefine him in a way that doesn’t compete with the Bale and Chris Nolan Batman but still exists within the Batman canon. It will be an older and wiser version, particularly as he relates to Henry Cavill’s Superman character.'
The Justice League! While director Zack Snyder is keeping a Kryptonite grip on the plot, details are leaking out
Affleck's old director pal Kevin Smith has already seen him in the new Batman costume, and it 'blew his mind.'
'[I] instantly bear hugged [Snyder],' the Chasing Amy filmmaker recently said on his podcast, Hollywood Babble-On.
'You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this Matrix, X-Men black armor thing. There wasn't a single nipple on this fricking suit...For a comic book fan it was mind-bending.'
