Knitty but nice! Alyson Hannigan wraps up in tasteful sweater as she goes for a stroll with daughter Satyana

She is known for her love of smart but casual outfits.

And Alyson Hannigan hit a winter high note when she donned a lovely piece of knitwear before venturing outdoors in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The How I Met Your Mother star looked fantastic in a brown woolly jumper as she went out for a stroll with daughter Santyana.

Canny Alyson, 39, twinned the tasteful sweater with a blouse, skinny jeans and black boots as she made sure she kept warm in the December California weather.

Her four-year-old pride and joy meanwhile wore a purple jumper, silver skirt, multicoloured tights and trainers.

One person conspicuous by his absence was her dashing husband Alexis Denisof, who may have been looking after their youngest daughter, one-year-old Keeva.

Alyson has been married to beefcake Alexis, who she met on the set of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, since 2003.

The 47-year-old American actor is best known to UK audiences for his scene stealing turns as cad officer Lord John Rossendale opposite hunky Yorkshire pudding Sean Bean in hit Napoleonic war drama Sharpe.

His character had a bloody end in the show, when he took park in a disastrous charge against French infantry at the Battle of Waterloo.

But he left an indelible mark on the minds of fans of the series, and is warmly remembered as one of the show's most popular villains.

That's not how the paparazzi business works. They are freelance photographers who don't work for anybody. They get pictures and then sell them to any paper or magazine who wants to buy them. So even if DM didn't buy the pictures I am sure their is some company out there who would.
