It may have been an unseasonably chilly day in Los Angeles, but Ryan Seacrest's rumoured new girlfriend Shayna Taylor managed to bring some heat to her first big modelling shoot.

The 38-year-old blonde beauty braved the icy temperatures and chilly wind to balance precariously on a rock in a black bikini which showed of her svelte figure.

Shayna's hair was styled in loose beachy waves around her face and she sported smoky make-up while striking a number of poses, as captured on video by TMZ.

According to the website, it was Shayna's first big modelling shoot in temperatures of around 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

And she proudly posted photographs on her Instagram account alongside the caption: 'Another amazing, but FREEZING beach shoot with the amazing @katemoorephoto and hair and make-up: @ericaerk #Wilhelmina #freezing.'

She also posed in the fading early evening light sporting another patterned bikini, sharing the shot on Instagram with the words: 'So excited to get all the pictures.'

Last week, Shayna signed to Wilhelmina Models on a two-year contract.

The news came after she was spotted vacationing with Ryan Seacrest's parents over the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to TMZ, Shayna's increased public visibility ensured she caught the eye of one of the most powerful modeling agencies in the business.

A representative for the agency told TMZ that the 38-year-old stunner has 'huge potential in the fitness and lifestyle world.'

Really? Despite insisting that they are only friends, Ryan took Shayna on vacation with him and his parents to Buenos Aires on Nov. 27

Previously, Shayna told the website that she is 'just friends' with the media mogul but she has been an almost permanent fixture at his side recently.

The American Idol host has been back on the market since splitting with girlfriend of almost three years, Julianne Hough.

The very public breakup may be the reason behind the star avoiding declaring his love for the new blonde in his life.

According to RadarOnline, the duo are definitely an item.

'They were obviously together, and the girl was clearly into Ryan,' a source told the website. 'She was all over him, holding his back and his hand while he talked to the others. And he seemed to be loving the PDA.'
