They may be in their late forties, but Connie Britton and Robin Wright have the figures of much younger woman.

And the two showed that fashion doesn't have to be revealing to be sexy as they graced the red carpet of the Muse Awards in New York on Thursday.

Connie, 46, opted to warm up her complexion by arriving in a flirty carnation pink leather dress.

The Nashville star teamed her fitted sleeveless frock with a pair of platform nude pumps, the perfect shoe choice to elongate her legs.

Showing how leather doesn't always have to be an edgy fabric, the Friday Night Lights star softened her look by slightly parting her strawberry locks to the side and styling them in loose curls framing her face.

Looking refined, Connie brightened up her look with some peach blush, a dusty lip, and subtle yet dramatic eye make-up.

Meanwhile, Robin, 47, went for a much more winter look in a navy blouse lined with sheer black fabric around her neckline.

She teamed the sleeveless shirt with an over-the-knee pencil skirt, opaque rights, and black pumps.

Just like Connie, the House Of Cards actress - who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role - opted to wear minimal jewels and make-up.

Carla Gugino was spotted during arrivals as well, making a splash in a bright, lacy red dress, among other attendees such as Ellen Barkin and Sonia Manzano.

The Muse Awards take place at a star-studded luncheon organised by the New York Women In Film And Television association.

On Thursday the NYWIFT presented Muse Awards for Outstanding Vision And Achievement to Ellen Barkin, Connie Britton and Robin Wright, Sonia Manzano and Frances Berwick, the President of Bravo and Oxygen Media.

And Wendy Williams and Andy Cohen took on the hosting duties for the awards ceremony.
