As the son of a music superstar you would think he would want for nothing.

But Robin Thicke's son Julian seemed to be pining for a warmer jacket as they plodded along in chilly New York on Thursday.

The three-year-old seemed to be struggling as the mercury dipped below freezing in the Big Apple.

While the youngster wore a look of dissatsifaction on his face, the same could not be said for his famous father.

For the Blurred Lines favourite wore a cheesy grin on his face as he enjoyed a spot of fresh air.

And he had certainly dressed for the weather in a camel overcoat, scarf, navy suit and smart leather shoes.

Robin, 36, was no doubt overjoyed to be spending some quality time with his boy after being on the road as part of the Jingle Ball live music extravaganzas along with his old sparring partner Miley Cyrus.

Robin has been with wife Paula Patten since they were 16-years-old and he recently revealed they still have a very healthy life in the bedroom.

And asked if his good lady listens to his famous tracks to get in the mood, Robin answered in the affirmative.

He confessed: 'Yes. In fact, she likes to do it more than ever now. Sometimes she'll even play groupie for me.'

'The spice is not our problem. We're overspiced. We could probably take a few spices off the shelf.'

Robin is very hot looking in his Camel Coat but he does need to wrap up the wee one with scarfs and a heavier coat. Hansom Dad though

Nice. The greaseball father looks snug as a bug in his thick, woollen winter coat which most likely cost a few thousand pounds, and his son is in a canvas summer jacket which is too small for him.
