Bounty hunting reality television star Beth Chapman has avoided charges for her verbal assault on a girl in July during a family vacation in Colorado.

The 46-year-old wife of bounty hunter Duane 'Dog' Chapman, 60, traded barbs with the girl during a fishing trip to Monument Lake.

Beth became outraged when the girl and a male friend drove too close to her family as they walked near the lake, according to police.

The girl filed criminal harassment charges against Beth, but the district attorney's office declined to press charges and the case was dismissed, according to a report on Wednesday in TMZ.

The use of 'coarse language' can be considered a crime in some situations in Colorado and Beth called the girl several bad names.

Beth has not expressed any remorse over the incident and said she'll always aggressively protect her family.

The misdemeanour harassment charge was low on the criminal scale with the punishment equivalent to a traffic ticket.

Beth shortly after the July 10 incident said that she was with Dog, their 12-year-old son Garry, 14-year-old daughter Bonnie, 11-year-old grandson Travis and 20-year-old daughter Cecily.

I noticed that they consider themselves to be Christians, but are foul-mouthed and curse. That is NOT Christian behavior.
