She’s braced for an appearance on The X Factor live final this weekend, when she will take to the stage for a duet with young hopeful Luke Friend.

But as preparations get underway, Ellie Goulding was in Dublin on Friday night for a candid chat on The Late Late Show – where the main topic of conversation was her friendship with Irish heartthrob Niall Horan.

The 26-year-old singer admitted that they ‘did kiss’ during a Kings of Leon concert before relieving jealous One Direction fans by insisting they’re ‘just good friends.’

Ellie looked smart in a long sleeved black top and matching leather skirt as she sashayed inside RTE studio, opting to complete her look with a pair of very distinctive boots with chunky soles.

But while her neutral ensemble got a thumbs up, the fashion forward star suffered an inadvertent calamity when a strong gust of wind ruined her neatly styled locks.

Indeed, the songstress was spotted as she attempted to straighten her flaxen hair as it billowed across her face during the shirt walk from car to studio doors.

Despite the calamity a tired looking Ellie appeared to be unfazed, offering photographers a polite smile as she made her way inside.

Her appearance on the show comes after her unveiling as one of the celebrity performers on the X Factor live final this weekend, where she will partner tousle-haired Luke.

The singer is now back in London ahead of her expected appearance on the show, but not before she hit a local bar.

Posting on Instagram, the singer is seen wearing a black beanie hat over her long locks while she sups on a pint of Guinness.

Another celebrity guest to feature on The X Factor this weekend is Westlife’s Shane Filan, who will sing with Nicolas McDonald, while Nicole Scherzinger is expected to duet with Sam Bailey.

Katy Perry, The Killers and Tom Odell will also perform, as will judge Gary Barlow, who takes to the stage with Sir Elton John.
