Loan arrangers: United and Liverpool will allow prospects to head out to Football League but Devils winger Zaha stays put

Manchester United and Liverpool will let two of their prospects join Championship clubs before the loan window closes on Thursday - but Wilfried Zaha is staying at Old Trafford.

Wigan Athletic are confident of finalising a deal for United’s England under-21 forward Will Keane, whose recent progress at Old Trafford has been delayed by injury.

And Liverpool’s 19-year-old forward Adam Morgan is set to move to Yeovil with the deal being made permanent in January.

Morgan became a YouTube sensation earlier this season with a goal from 45 yards for Liverpool under-21s against Manchester City.

Several clubs will be busy as they capitalise on their last chance to bring in new players before January.

Bolton Wanderers are to sign Cardiff City striker Joe Mason on loan and have interest in Millwall’s Shane Lowry, Barnsley’s Chris Dagnall will join League One Coventry City and Charlton are eyeing New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Ryan Meara.

With the MLS club finished for most clubs, Huddersfield and Wolves are also looking at players Stateside with Wolves boss Kenny Jackett having Bolton’s Craig Davies as a fallback.

Among the bigger-name players available if any club can match their wages is Aston Villa’s Scotland international Alan Hutton.

But Manchester United boss David Moyes has ruled out allowing Zaha to go, preferring to wait until January when he can go to a Premier League club. Newcastle United and Fulham are interested.

Surprised? Wilfried Zaha will not be leaving Manchester United on loan until January at the earliest

Sorry, but Morgan has gone backwards over the last 12 months and needs to go. I see NONE of the under 21 side at Anfield actually making it at Anfield as in fairness, the imports, Couthino, Alberto etc , are far ahead of them in the pecking order, even Sterling looks poor when in the first team AND HE WAS BOUGHT, That says more about Hodgson than Sterling. Must be a very expensive set up running the kids teams at Anfield, with only Gerard and Carragher really making it over the last 15 years. Something wrong.

Why would I ever want to send my son in-law out on loan.... Why would I ever want to upset my beloved daughter, Lauren....?

Moyse will never put Zaha out on loan. He's practically family.

Morgan should be given a real chance at Liverpool. Far worse players got a run of games, Carroll, Downing, Borini, Aspas and Adam to name a few.

truth is youth football is not a high enough level. It's not as high as where aspas thrived in the second division in spain. That's why there has been such a push to replicate the spanish system where teams put a youth team in the lower league. They want that because the existing youth game isn't good enough to make great players thus success there doesn't mean much. And honestly Carroll, Downing, though not my favs have a history in the prem, Borini had success at Roma. All of these are at a standard above where mogran is playing in youth sides. Downing isn't a striker so the comparison isn't exactly apples to apples. But truth is Morgan's not getting time above Suarez or Sturridge or Moses or Sterling. He should leave and go work his way up.

Bit harsh to include Aspas in that. Looked great on his debut; had one or two iffy games and maybe a bad one but hasn't really had a run of games to prove himself and he's only been there for about 3 months. Give the lad a chance. From a United fan!

They might not be the best clubs in England at the moment but they are THE two biggest clubs in the country and it's not even close. Only Arsenal come anywhere near them in that sense and even they're quite a way behind. Stupid statement. No one gives a tosh about Manchester United? It's estimated that a SEVENTH of the world support them.

Im surprised at letting Morgan go permanently, hes broke all sorts of scoring records at Liverpool youth levels. Folwer is quoted as saying hes the most natural finisher hes seen in a long time. and hes only 19, surely send him on loan, see how he does before cutting ties?

He will have to be at least 34 before he gets a run in the United team.

Message for MU and LFC: Can we please have Zaha and Morgan at Wolves for a couple of years on loan? Throw in Lingard and Sterling too if you like, we'll give them a run for you.
